WHAT IS A NEIGHBORHOOD CRIME WATCH?

A Neighborhood Watch program is a group of people living in the same area who want to make their neighborhood safer by working together and in conjunction with local law enforcement to reduce crime and improve their quality of life. For more information please review the National Neighborhood Watch Institute.

HOW OFTEN ARE COMMUNITY MEETINGS HELD?

Neighborhood Watch meetings are held in person and on a monthly basis. Meeting dates and times are posted on the community facebook page.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE COMMUNITY MEETINGS?

Every meeting runs with the same meeting structure. When you walk in, if you are interested in sharing during public comment, there is a sign up sheet. The meeting will begin by notifying of any action items in response to the previous months meeting. Then any news and/or updates will be shared out. Volunteer positions will be announced and then there will be time for public comment. Each person has 3 minutes to share about any concerns or updates from their area. The meeting concludes with the announcement of the next monthly meeting as well as any other community events that may be coming up.

HOW DO I REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY?

There are a few ways to report suspicious activity. The first way is through an app called P3 Tips. You are able to begin "tickets" on continual suspicious activity and upload photos and video footage. Anytime a name is searched by law officials these tips come up! This is NOT the same as calling 911. Call the law FIRST and submit after.  Additionally, if you have security cameras, this can be reviewed on a daily basis and suspicious activity can be uploaded to P3 Tips. Please see the P3 Tip page for the website link and further information. If you do not want to submit through P3 Tips, please see our submissions page of the website and you are also able to provide information that way as well!

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY AREA IS ALREADY A PART OF THE CRIME WATCH PROGRAM?

If you are unsure of your areas crime watch status, please email clearforkcrimewatch@gmail.com.

HOW CAN AN AREA BECOME A PART OF THE CLEAR FORK CRIME WATCH?

All that is required is neighbors willing to participate. Each area needs 2 representatives. If you are interested in being your areas representative and getting a crime watch started in your area, please email clearforkcrimewatch@gmail.com.
